The Tom Byrne Memorial Scholarship Award

Tom Byrne was a 1967 graduate of St. Joseph High School. He was married to his high school sweetheart Anna Budniak (also class of 1967) for 47 years and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother.

Tom was a teacher with Gloucester County Special Services, a member of the Knights of Columbus, a director of the Gloucester County Special Olympics, President of the Sean Byrne Foundation, a co-contributor to the Miracle Field of Gloucester County, and a South Jersey Football Hall of Fame inductee.

The St. Joe's Bisons Club in association with Runnemede VFW Post 3324 is proud to honor Tom's profound belief in helping others by presenting yearly awards of $500 to deserving children, grandchildren or great grandchildren of Bisons Club members, both male and female. The number and amounts of awards may vary depending on the success of the fund raisers conducted. All efforts of the committee are voluntary and all monies collected will be awarded.
